Exactly how we provide reusable items and zero waste support is a moving target. We are learning all the time, and every event is different.
Here are answers to some basic questions:
Who is qualified to use these items?
EVERYONE! We encourage everyone to start forming the habits of reuse in place of disposal, and we're here to support anyone in these efforts.
Does it cost anything to use these items?
Sometimes, but not always. Community events that are free to the public and do not include a fundraising component are welcome to use our items free of charge. For private or fundraising event, we charge on a VERY affordable sliding scale which is designed to be accessible to all. We do require a deposit, which is fully refundable when items are returned clean and dry.
How do I request to use these items at my event?

Do I have to wash service items before I return them?
Yes! We can provide a list of partner businesses with commercial dishwashers that are pleased to support the zero waste program.
What if I can't wash items before I return them?
If items are returned unwashed or poorly washed (in a condition that requires us to wash them) you forfeit your deposit.
I want to facilitate recycling, composting, and other waste diversion techniques at my event. Can you help with that too?
Yes! We support basic recycling and food composting, and can provide signage, guidelines, and disposal if you wish. Just ask us about your options!
